Capture, model & calculate inventory | The Scan2BIM workflow with Scalypso, Allplan and FRILO

After a brief introduction to the world of 3D scanners, Dr Ralf König begins the workflow demonstration by capturing the data of an existing building with Scalypso, a laser scanning software for analysing and reconstructing terrestrial and mobile 3D laser scan data. He then supplements the holistic Scan2BIM workflow with the BIM software Allplan. To do this, he carries out efficient as-built modelling of the scan data previously captured in Scalypso using Allplan. To complete the workflow, he transfers the existing building captured in Allplan as an IFC file to FRILO's BIM connector, where Saskia Nübler's building model is prepared for the structural calculations in FRILO.
