Integration between BIM model and structural calculation

The transition from the BIM model to the analytical model still represents a challenge in the collaboration between the different actors involved. Thanks to an innovative workflow, based on the native Allplan format and the IFC format, this transition is made simple and interactive.

Through a practical example, the operations for using the Allplan BIM model directly in MasterSap as an analysis model are analyzed, in addition to the possibilities of creating a flow of digital information between the BIM modeler and the structural engineer, for the optimization of the respective models. Starting from the geometric model, the analytical model is generated, with nodes and alignments of the structures already optimized. The new workflow allows to reduce times and prevent errors in the collaboration between those who create the model and those who deal with structural analysis, also avoiding double entry of information.
